What about Bull Run Craft Cannabis are you most passionate about?

the product we're most excited about is our new Lil’ Buddies 1/2 gram pre-rolls because 10% of every sale is directed towards helping rescue animals find forever homes, something everyone at BRCC is passionate about because we all have rescue dogs in our Furry Farm Family! At BRCC we all try to make the world a little better place and its inhabitants happier every day by doing positive things: paying our employees a living wage, growing without chemicals, helping rescue animals, keeping waste to a minimum, using compostable materials wherever possible, all these things and others BRCC does daily add up to growing our cannabis in a conscientious way. We're all very passionate about all these things and excited about the as of yet unrealized possibilities and potential for BRCC in the future

How did you get started with Bull Run Craft Cannabis ?

The name Bull Run comes from the river that flows down from the Bull Run reservoir (Portlands main source of drinking water) thru the foothills of Mt Hood and conflues into the Little Sandy River at the East end of the 64 acre historic farm we’re lucky enough to be located on. Both Mike and Steve have only ever grown in a non-chemical way, so when we came up with the name in 2015 putting the words “Craft Cannabis” alongside Bull Run was a logical move for us; its the only way we ever considered growing our product. Because we were expedient with our application filing and our buildout and compliance, BRCC was in the very first group of farms granted a Recreational License by the State and OLCC, so although we are a relatively new company, we were literally at the forefront of Oregon Recreational Cannabis. We wanted to create an “Oregon lifestyle brand”, something that the consumer would recognize and count on as having the finest quality craft cannabis products on the shelf

Bull Run Craft Cannabis 's Mission

Bull Run Craft Cannabis is locally owned, owner operated and steadfast about implementing sustainable cultivation practices with minimal environmental impact

What is the one thing you want your customers to know about your products?

the whole Bull Run Craft Cannabis 64 acre farm and all our indoor grown flower are verified Certified Kind, the leader in organic certification in the State of Oregon. Our flower is cultivated without the use of pesticides, synthetics or salts. We use locally sourced materials from the West Coast, and we do it without using heavy animal-based nutrients like bone or blood meal. BRCC is committed to the sustainable cultivation standards set by Certified Kind to ensure we are producing the cleanest cannabis possible. Start to finish, all of BRCC’s cannabis is grown with organic, non-GMO amendments. We believe in growing cannabis through living-soil cultivation practices, and we brew our own compost teas (in-house) to help our fertile soil process organic nutrients. We like to keep it simple and let nature take over.

Why do you think it's important to share your story with your consumers directly?

receiving recognition for growing without chemicals or synthetic pesticides has been difficult. Its much easier and cheaper for some growers to use these shortcuts, which we refuse. We try to meet this challenge by educating the retail buyers and consumers, but its not always easy to get our message across. Using the shopBUSHL platform will be an effective way to help us communicate whats important to us!
